Russian America (Russian: Русская Америка, Russkaya Amyerika) was the name of the Russian colonial possessions in North America from 1733 to 1867. Its capital was Novo-Arkhangelsk. (New Arkhangelsk), which is now Sitka, Alaska, United States.
